Chris sadly died in September 2023, aged 62.
In 2021, Chris suffered catastrophic spinal injuries when on a mountain rescue mission in the Lake District. Chris sustained his injuries
trying to rescue two men who were, at the time, in breach of lockdown regulations.
After months in intensive care, Chris had been able to return home, but sadly contracted pneumonia and died. Chris was a valued member of the Patterdale Mountain Rescue Team.
