Kenneth Brookfield

It is with great sadness that we inform our community about the passing of Kenneth Brookfield, the oldest active member of our alumni community at 101 years old.

Kenneth was born in 1923 and left the school in 1941, hepassed away peacefully on Thursday 12 September following a heart attack. Kenneth lived life to the full at his own home in Canada and spent just the last few days of his life in care. His daughter had the following to say about his relationship with King’s:

"Dad so appreciated all his connections with King's School over many years and receiving the magazines with all the happenings and updates. When he was able, he loved picking out and ordering books for the school library and he always enjoyed chatting with the staff in the office. It has been a rich relationship. He certainly always credited King's School for providing him with the educational foundation for his success."

Our thoughts are with his family at this sad time. Kenneth's funeral service will be St. John's Anglican Church on Saturday 5th October at 1.00pm PDT. It will be also streamed online and kept on the church's YouTube channel.
