Rob Barrow

Rob Barrow (Governor) died in October 2024. Having gained degrees in Mathematics and Computing, he founded and ran Surf Control, very much an online software pioneer in the late 1980s. Then, on retirement in 2005, he concentrated on a range of charitable activities, including as a King's Governor, though primarily with the East Cheshire Hospice, including a period as Chair of the Board of Trustees. He was appointed MBE for services to the community in 2019, as well as being Deputy Lieutenant of Cheshire in 2015.
