Bob Lyall

Robert (Bob) Lyall died in December 2023, aged 85. His working career involved designing computer software for McVitie's, but he was also known internationally in the world of numismatics. The longest-serving member (since 1959) of the Lancs. and Cheshire Numismatic Society, Bob was a world authority on the coins of the West Indies – his interest began after visiting during national service with the Royal Navy – as well as being expert on coins of Charles I.
