Margaret Roberta Griffiths (nee Hall):

After leaving the school, Margaret attended the University of Sheffield Institute of Education where she graduated with a Certificate in Education in 1957. She devoted her entire working life to education, specialising in early years learners. She married David in 1960 and they spent the next two decades living in west and southern Africa. Indeed, Margaret set up her own school in the living room of the family house in Accra, Ghana in the early 1960's. Upon returning to the UK Margaret spent the remainder of her working life teaching at Dair House School in Buckinghamshire, where she was highly respected by both her peers and especially the learners, many of whom she kept in touch with. Margaret and David had three children and went on to become the proud grandparents of eight grandchildren. Following her retirement in 1997, she took up golf and was thrilled to be elected ladies captain at her local club. She and David also enjoyed travelling, but most of all she was happiest spending time with her grandchildren. Sadly, she suffered from dementia in her later years and she passed away peacefully on 28th November 2024 at her care home in north Devon surrounded by her family.
