The completion of our new £5 million Forster Pavilion is edging ever closer and will be opening this September. This exceptional project has been funded through a substantial legacy left by former pupil Roy Forster (1944), whose deep affection for King’s and belief in the power of sport inspired his extraordinary gift.
The Forster Pavilion will be wonderful addition to our sports facilities and wider community provision. Around 1,350 pupils will benefit from this new facility, alongside over 20 grassroots sports clubs and local schools who use the King's campus during evenings and weekends. The Pavilion will also provide flexible space for community partnerships, conferences, and events with a stunning first floor hospitality suite and balcony.
Brand new honours boards for girls’ hockey, boys’ hockey and girls’ netball will be housed in the Forster Pavilion, and we are now seeking support from all our King’s Maxonians to help us locate a few missing names on the boards. If you were a captain or vice-captain for any of the teams or have a fabulous memory and can remember the missing names from the years below, please do get in touch! development@kingsmac.co.uk.
